A step-by-step guide for changing your JIBC password through office.com

Prerequisites

  • A computer with stable Internet connection and a web browser

Steps

  1. Step 1: Go to https://office.com

    Click the Sign In button located in the top-right corner of the page.

  2. Step 2: Log in with your JIBC Credentials

    Enter your email address and click Next. Then, enter your password and click Sign In.

  3. Step 3: You will be redirected to M365 homepage.

    Note: If you are not redirected and a dialog appears with the message "More Information Required"

  4. Step 4: On the Microsoft 365 homepage, click your profile name (with your profile picture or initials) located at the bottom-left corner

    A sub-menu appears.
    Select "View Account".
    This action opens a new tab.

  5. Step 5: In the new tab, Click on Change Password

    A pop up will appear.

  6. Step 6: Change your password

    You can now change your JIBC password.
    Ensure that your new password meets the JIBC password requirements.

JIBC Password Requirements
  • Minimum length: 12 characters
  • Case sensitivity: Passwords are case-sensitive
  • Password history: You cannot reuse any of your previous eight passwords
  • Expiration period: Passwords must be changed every 180 days
  • Character requirements: Your password must include at least:
    • 1 uppercase letter (A–Z)
    • 1 lowercase letter (a–z)
    • 1 number (0–9)
    • 1 special character (e.g., !, @, #, $)
