Prerequisites

• A computer with stable Internet connection and a web browser
• A cell phone with Microsoft Authenticator app installed

Steps

1. Step 1: Open a web browser of your choice and navigate to https://vpn.jibc.ca

   

2. Step 2: Sign in using your JIBC-issued credentials

   Log in using your JIBC issued email address and your password

   

3. Step 3: Approve the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) request.

   If your MFA is not yet set up, please refer to the article - Set up MFA

   

4. Step 4: Download GlobalProtect

   Once logged in, download the GlobalProtect installer that matches your operating system.

   After the download is complete, install GlobalProtect on your computer.

   

5. Step 5: Open GlobalProtect

   After the installation is complete, search for “GlobalProtect” on your computer and open the application.

   

6. Step 6: Connect to Portal

   When GlobalProtect opens, you’ll see a small window in the bottom-right corner of your screen.

   To connect to the VPN, enter the portal address: VPN.JIBC.CA

   

7. Step 7: Sign in to GlobalProtect

   After entering the portal address, click Connect.

   A new sign-in window will appear — log in using your JIBC-issued email address and password.

   

8. Step 8: GlobalProtect is connected

   You are now connected and can access JIBC's internal resources
