GlobalProtect Remote VPN setup (VPN required for WFH)

Body

To access to JIBC's network resources for use over a private and secure network, you will need to set up a virtual private network (VPN) to JIBC's network.
Additionally you will need to set up a multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access this VPN. MFA is an extra layer of security that goes beyond just a username and password. In this case, it's setting up a separate device to receive prompts that a user can advise whether a login should be permitted. For example, you would enter your username and password, then on another one of your devices, the application will ask if you authorized that login.

Here are the steps to begin.

1) Install the Duo Mobile application on your mobile phone and set up multi-factor authentication.
    a) On an Apple device:
        Navigate to your home screen
        Tap App Store icon
Type in the search bar "Duo Mobile"
        Tap "Install"
        Open the application

    b) On an Android device:
Navigate to the "Play Store" and open it
        Search "Duo Mobile"
        Tap "Install"
        Open the application

2) On your computer go to this link: https://vpn.jibc.ca/
Log-in to your JIBC user account
Here you will be asked to provide any two backup credentials. Please fill in required fields of your preference, this will set up a second step to log in.
Select Activate Duo Mobile for the mobile device you have on hand. It will give you a QR code.
On your mobile phone, open up the Duo Mobile application you downloaded.
            i) Tap "Set up account"
            ii) Tap "Use QR code"
iii) Use the phone camera system to scan the QR code on your computer screen.
            iv) Tap "Save"

You have now set up multi-factor authenticiation (MFA) for your VPN.
For VPN related credentials, you will be asked to enter your username, password, and the Passcode that shows on your Duo Mobile application. This passcode changes frequently as a safety feature for logins.

3) Start GlobalProtect on your computer and click connect.
Please ensure that you are connected with this whenever working with JIBC's network resources (i.e. Colleague).
    - Log-in with your credentials.

You should now be securely connected to JIBC's network and be able to access network resources.
