Using a Laptop for Teams Meeting in the Theatre

Step 1: Connecting to the Projector and Speakers
- Connect your laptop using one of the following cables:
  1. HDMI
  2. DisplayPort
  3. USB-C
- This will allow your laptop's display to be mirrored or extended to the projector.
Step 2: Connecting the USB for Mic and Camera
- Plug in the provided USB cable to your laptop to enable the podium microphone and theatre camera
Step 3: Checking Device Settings in Teams
- Launch the Teams App on your laptop.
- Click on three dots (⋯) icon on the top-right corner.
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
- Click Devices in the left menu bar.
- Verify the following under the Audio section:
  1. Speaker: Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (TesiraFORTE)
  2. Microphone: Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (TesiraFORTE)
- Scroll down to the Video section and verify:
  1. Camera: USB Capture HDMI
Step 4: Configuring Camera Preset

There are 2 pre-configured camera presets:
- Presenter – camera shot of the podium
- Stage – camera shot of the entire stage
You can select or change the preset from the Extron touch-panel under Video Sources > Camera Presets.
Step 5: Ending the Meeting
- Leave the meeting and close Teams.
- Disconnect the USB and display cables from your laptop when finished.

Troubleshooting

Issue 1: Disable Background Filters

If the camera image only shows your background, follow these steps:

Issue 2: Confirm Device Settings within the meeting

If the room camera, podium mic and/or room speakers are not working from your laptop, follow these steps:

In the Teams Meeting window, click on More (⋯) icon.
Select Video effects and settings.
- Go to Settings and confirm the Camera input.
Select Audio Settings.
- Confirm the Speaker and Microphone.
