How to Access Advanced Settings for a Shared Mailbox

Task: 

Change Automatic replies, inbox rules...etc for a shared mailbox

Prerequisites (if applicable): 

You will need access to the shared mailbox before you can make changes.  Contact the system administrator if you do not have access.

Instructions:

 

  1. From a web browser, go to https://outlook.office.com
  2. Login with your JIBC credentials.
  3. In the top-right corner of the Outlook interface, click on your profile picture, then select Open another mailbox.
  4. Type the email address for the mailbox you want to open (you can select it from the autocomplete list if it appears).
  5. A new tab will open in the context of the shared mailbox.
  6. In this new tab, click the Gear icon at the upper right corner of the window.
  7. Click View all Outlook settings at the bottom.
  8. Click the feature you would like to change.
  9. Click Save when you are done.
